Working Hard 'N Playing Hard

Holly completed her CDX in July, 2003 With a score of 191 and a first place in her class.  Holly was in the ribbons with each leg of her title, earning two first placements and a third. Though Holly will not be going on to the Utility ring she's still having fun competing, trying her hand at Rally-O and now and then making an appearance in the Open ring for the fun of it.
During the winter of 2002-2003 Holly joined the rest of the team in completing 400 miles in harness and earning her Working Team Dog title. She then went on to Mushing Boot Camp where she REALLY learned the meaning of PULL!
In 2002 Holly completed the requirements of her Working Pack Dog Title while putting over 100 miles on her pack. Holly is convinced that all water contains tasty snacks (otherwise known as fish) and so she goes looking every chance she gets. Everything that goes into Holly's pack must be water proof. She tends to go fishing unexpectedly :-)
Over the July 4th weekend of 2003 Holly had the pleasure of taking part in two weight pulls put on by the SCAMC. On Thursday she walked out of the obedience ring after obtaining the last leg towards her CDX, and into her weight pull harness to earn a leg towards her Working Weight Pull Dog title. We went back on Saturday just for the weight pull and Holly not only pulled enough for her third WWPD leg, but kept right on pulling to achieve her first Weight Pull Excellent leg and High Percentage Pulled for the day. This is the first "X" working leg for any of my dogs so it was a fantastic cap to an incredible weekend!
